K-Chic: Authentic Korean Fried Chicken with a Warrior Spirit

Brand Identity that Conquers Taste Buds

Zi Huai Shen brings the flavors of Korean Fried Chicken to Belgium with K-Chic, a brand that combines delicious food with a warrior spirit. Inspired by a Korean warrior expedition, K-Chic aims to deliver healthy and tender chicken that will satisfy even the most discerning palates.

K-Chic is not your average fried chicken joint. Specializing in authentic Korean-style Fried Chicken, this brand sets itself apart by focusing on the meal delivery market. With just a few taps on your phone, you can have a mouthwatering Korean Fried Chicken meal delivered straight to your doorstep.

The design of K-Chic's brand identity is as unique as its flavors. Zi Huai Shen envisions the Korean Fried Chicken as a young and vibrant Korean boy with a neat figure. This visual representation adds a playful touch to the brand and appeals to a wide range of customers.

During the European racing season, K-Chic becomes the go-to choice for male consumers who want to enjoy a delicious meal while watching their favorite ball games. The brand's combination of authentic flavors and convenient delivery makes it a winning choice for sports enthusiasts.

The realization of K-Chic's brand identity is achieved through the use of tag and wrap techniques. The main image is a captivating 3600px x 3600px visual that captures the essence of the brand. Optional images, sized at 1800px x 1800px, provide additional visual appeal.

The design team, led by Zi Huai Shen, embarked on this project in November 2019 in Taiwan and completed it in March 2020. Extensive research was conducted to create a brand identity that truly represents the spirit of authentic Korean flavors.

The design challenges were overcome through innovative techniques. The main visual incorporates a map expression technique, seamlessly integrating the fried chicken into the picture to enhance appetite and arouse desire for consumption. Stickers designed as military emblems combined with the tastes add rich colors to the packaging, further enhancing the appetite appeal.

K-Chic's brand identity is a testament to the designer's attention to detail and commitment to creating a unique and captivating experience. The mark, a combination of the letter "K" and the footprint of a chicken, symbolizes the brand's expeditionary spirit. The font style, inspired by Korean retro advertisements, conveys the image of a warrior's righteous ardor. Auxiliary graphics, such as battle flags, ancient maps, and chicken warriors, complete the brand's main axis, reflecting the richness of flavors and the spirit of authentic Korean cuisine.

Zi Huai Shen's design for K-Chic has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2022. This award acknowledges the brand's well-designed, practical, and innovative approach, meeting professional and industrial requirements. K-Chic's brand identity not only fulfills its purpose but also contributes to a better world by bringing the flavors of authentic Korean Fried Chicken to a global audience.
